The smile of success is always sweet.

And Venkatesh's is. He couldn't help grinning from ear to ear at the success meet of Sankranthi.

The hero, whose tall presence in the industry was being questioned after the failure of the much-expected Gharshana, was naturally chuffed and elated that Sankranthi is now a confirmed hit.

Though he wouldn't say that he was under pressure, he is obviously a relieved man today.

More than the film's success, Venkatesh's happiness stems from the fact that he has been able to impress his core constituency --- the family audience.

"It has struck a chord with them (family audience)," he said. Venkatesh interesting pointed out that the film in fact has struck a chord with himself as because he also comes from a joint family.

In fact, the success meet itself had the feeling of all the joys of a joint family with all actors and actresses in the film thanking one and another.

The producer, R B Chowdary, the director Muppalaneni Shiva seemed like patriarchs of a big family.
