Harry Baweja has confirmed March 4 as the release date of his John Abraham-Priyanka Chopra starrer "Karam", reports Bollywood Trade.

The release date coincides with the India-Pakistan cricket series that begins with a warm-up match March 3 at Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh and the final school examinations that would be going on.

"We would have liked to release the film earlier but we were keen on having a solo release for the film," said Raju Shah of Y T Entertainment, a distribution outfit.

"We felt this was the best time for the film's release. In any case, the cricket fever is not likely to have its impact on the evening shows," said Raju Shah.

According to Shah, trailers of the film in theatres have generated an excellent response, so has Vishal Shekhar's musical score.

"The exhibitors are definitely excited about the pre-release reports of the film," Shah said.

Meanwhile, exhibitors are scouting for good films that could be released to act as fillers since there would be virtually no releases in the second half of March.

They are planning to re-release some old films including the Amitabh Bachchan-Hema Malini starrer, "Satte Pe Satta".
