Which Nagma is that Nagma?

This is the question that Tamil film industry woke up to Sunday morning.

It may be recalled that the Mumbai police had arrested a dreaded criminal in connection with the Gutkha scandal a few days ago, and he spilled the beans that Anees Ibrahim, the brother of don Dawood Ibrahim, had an affair with Nagma.

Ever since that popular actress in Tamil Nagma has been vehemently denying that she wasn't the girl under reference here. She had immediately clarified that her name has cropped up due to some confusion.

But Nagma's problem continued as the Congress party for which she was campaigning for in Bihar dropped her from the team.

Then suddenly out of the blue it was revealed that another popular actress in Tamil Mumtaz's real name is Nagma.

So the news hounds were after her yesterday. Mumtaz, though confirming that her maiden name was indeed Nagma, said that she had nothing to do with Anees.

Incidentally, Mumtaz's mother, Tabasssum, who is now in London, is said to have had some connections with those who have had connections with the underworld.

So the issue is again complicated.

Will the real Nagma stand up?
