Biju Menon has landed a plum role in the movie 'Vellakaduva' in which he will play a Thrissurkaran. He will speak the Thrissur slang in the movie, which is set there and will have all the Thrissur flavours. The character he essays in the movie is named Rini Ipe Mattumel. The movie will be high on humour and Biju Menon will have a chance to showcase his exceptional comic timing.

In 'Vellakaduva', Rini is a driver who later goes on to become a close confidant of a jewelry businessman. In the course of events, because of his wicked ways and fraudery, he manages to become a jewelry's owner. Though told in a humourous manner, the movie has a serious subject which will make the people think. Rini also has a very difficult past, which shapes the way he confronts situations. Directed by Jose Thomas, the shooting will commence by July.
