"Though I wrote the script four years ago, I made slight changes to it by keeping in mind his image, body language and even the response to his previous films," said debutant director Satya Deva, who wielded the megaphone for Balakrishna`s forthcoming film Lion.

"Balayya plays Godse and Bose; two characters with different shades. He took these characters as a challenge and worked extremely hard," he said, adding, 'For one of the roles, Balakrishna, 54, even shed about seven kg weight and for nearly four months, Balakrishna survived on only two meals a day.'

The director clarifies that "Lion" won't be a "political film" but will have the right emotions usually associated with Balakrishna's movie.

Balayya will romance Trisha Krishnan and Radhika Apte in the action drama.
