Vijay like Vivek Oberoi believes in action. Sarath Kumar restricted his donations to residents near his house in Chennai and Rajni- Dhanush stopped with donations. Mumbai Express work restricted Kamal Hassan from going to the Tsunami affected areas. The affected areas of Nagapattinam saw Vivek Oberoi working with fishermen in relief operations. With no Tamil stars expect for a flying visit of Vijaykant the affected fishermen folk saw the true colours of the idols who live with the money they spent in theatres. Vijay and his father SAC visited Cuddalore areas and helped the fishermen by giving assistance to repair boats and gave truck loads of rice . The total cost was Rs 10 lakhs. He has promised to come again and give assistance worth Rs 15 lakhs. His fans too have been pressed into service.
