For the past few months, there has been many rumours Tamil super hit film 'Jilla' will be remade in Telugu. While some speculated that Venkatesh-Ravi Teja or Venkatesh-Rana will act in the remake, some said that Balakrishna liked the film very much and he wanted to act in the remake along with Kalyan Ram.

But now it has been confirmed that the film will not be remade, but will be dubbed into Telugu. Sri Obuleswara Productions bagged the Telugu rights of the film amid huge competition. Tamatam Kumar Reddy will produce the film along with his friend Prasad Sannidhi. R.B.Choudhary will present it.

Tamatam Kumar Reddy and Prasad Reddy said, "I feel that I am very lucky to be dubbing 'Jilla' in Telugu because it is being presented by a legendary producer like R.B.Choudhary. We are very thankful to R.B.Choudhary, who gave the chance of producing the movie in Telugu, though many big producers competed with us and for also presenting the film with us. Some special scenes were shot on Dr.Brahmanandam, L.B.Sriram and Surekha Vani for the Telugu version. Vijay and Mohan Lal who played the leads, Pradeep Rawat and Sampath Raj, who played important roles are familiar with the Telugu audiences. Actress Kajal's craze here is well-known. Jiiva played an important role in the movie. We will announce the Telugu title soon".

R.T.Neason is the director and D.Imman is the music director of this movie. Sashank Vennelakanti is penning dialogues.
