Jayasudha has recently commented that Rajendra Prasad panel is resorting to political pressure on them to withdraw their nominations for MAA elections. She even said that Tollywood is a male dominated industry and she will try to do justice to women in the industry if she is elected as the president.

Rajendra Prasad retorted to these comments of Jayasudha. He said that he doesn't need to threaten anyone to win as MAA president as he is liked by everyone and everyone is with him. He also said that it is not fair on Jayasudha's part to comment that Tollywood is a male dominated industry. "Many actresses like Savithri received great respect and love from the industry. Even Jayasudha has enjoyed being admired a lot by the industry people. Her comments that only men dominate the industry are not at all justified", Rajendra Prasad said.

Rajendra Prasad expressed confidence that he will win as MAA president. He promised that he will work for the welfare of the artists if he is elected as MAA president
