After a long delay, YVS Chowdary's 'Rey', starring Sai Dharam Tej in the lead, is finally releasing on March 27th. The team says that the film will get amazing popularity in Telugu film industry regarding the western style costume designing same like 'Dhoom' series has got in Indian film history.
Y.V.S.Chowdary said that they have researched and worked hard to design the costumes for the film, which will be in Caribbean backdrop in first half and America backdrop in second half.
He says, "Like never before in Telugu film history, I've written the script in the backdrop of a competition in America named "Best of the world", in which top stars from all over the world will compete. First half will be in Westindies backdrop and the second half in U.S.backdrop. We have spent a lot to show the appearance of the people there on to the screen. Audiences should get a feeling of watching a Caribbean movie, when watching the first half and a Hollywood movie when watching the second half. We have toured many countries to select the costumes which will bring a pop look. Then after to design costumes based on those designs, we have approached Sai and Shiva in Chennai, Janakiram Vegiraju and Sholapur Ashok in Hyderabad. We have also sent our costumes team to Los Vegas, Los Angeles, Sanfransisco, Port of Spain in Westindies, Bangkok, Malaysia and also Tiruvur in Tamil Nadu. We have spent Rs.2 Crores on costumes alone. Audiences will sure understand how the costumes helped in bringing the feel we visualized. We are very happy with the compliments from well-wishers who watched the film that 'Rey' looks like a Hollywood movie".
