For many who watched Mass the most surprising element in the whole picture was not Nagarjuna (he was as usual reassured).

The real puzzle was the wan presence of Raghuvaran.

As a villain, he was strangely muted and almost tepid. If anything, the usually redoubtable was overshadowed by a rank novice like Rahul Dev.

Raghuvaran was off-colour with reason. He has not lost touch with his acting skills; it is just that he is keeping bad health these days.

Raghuvaran, who has had drug and drink problems in his life, seems to be paying a price for that. Raghuvaran, according to reports, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai.

He has also cut down on his films and signed up any new movie after Mass.

Raghuvaran, it may be recalled, had recently separated from his actress wife Rohini.
