Friends and people close to Catherine Tresa have spoken in support for the actress dismissing allegations of her not providing support for her brother who committed suicide recently. Sources have brushed aside the allegation doing the online rounds regarding the actress' brother, Christopher, who was pursuing his commerce degree at a private college in Bangalore, as to having been suffering from depression and had no financial support from either Catherine or his family.

The source known to the actress also says, "It is completely untrue. Catherine and her brother shared a close and loving bond. Not only did the actress visit her brother in Bangalore, but he had accompanied her to Chennai on a couple of occasions recently. Rumours alleging that she did not help her brother financially too, are completely false. Catherine herself studied in Bangalore and has helped her brother with the required finances to pursue his education."

The actress was reportedly attended the funeral on Thursday in Bangalore.
