Trikoti who is making his debut as the director with the film, 'Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya' seems very confident about the success of the film. He talks about the film, his actors, M.M.Keeravani etc in an interview.

Excerpts from the interview.

'Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya' is releasing on 10th of this month. How do you feel about it ?

I've directed this film, knowing that it is a very delicate point. I didn't feel the pressure during the shooting, but as the release date is approaching , I am feeling the tension.

How did your journey in the industry started ?

I entered the industry as an office boy. Then after I joined editing department. I learnt writing from assistant directors and turned assistant director and associate director slowly. When I was working as an associate of Kranthi Madhav, S.S.Rajamouli joined there. That is how my journey with Rajamouli started.

How did you get this idea of the film ?

The idea of the story is not mine, it is my friend Giri's. He is an assistant of Janardhana Maharshi and provided story for a few films of Allari Naresh. When he narrated the point to me, I felt it is very different and thought of developing it. After developing the story, I thought only Ajay would fit the title role well. I wouldn't have started this film if Ajay didn't sign it.

Why did you select Ajay for such a different role ?

Ajay is a very good performer and my confidence on his performance increased after watching 'Ishq'. I wanted to do the film only with him. He performed superbly as I expected.

Is there any influence of Rajamouli on your direction ?

Rajamouli's effect will not be seen anywhere. I'd learnt how to make action movies and sentiment movies only from Rajamouli. We've taken a lot of care during the making.

What are the highlights of the film ?

Every scene will be the highlight of the film. Whether it is comedy or sentiment, every scene will be good. Especially the climax is the highlight. Dil Raju cried watching the climax and appreciated that the film is very good.

Which character has got importance ? Ajay's or Naga Shaurya's ?

Both the characters are important. How he saves his father is Naga Shourya's character and Ajay played both a father and a lover. Both are different characters.

How did you convince Indraja to act in this film ?

I didn't particularly convince Indraja. She signed the film liking the story. If the mother character of hero is played by regular artists, it will be routine. When I was thinking about who will be apt for this role, one friend of mine suggested Indraja would be better. I also felt the same and approached her. She liked the story and agreed to act in it.

Tell us about the music

Though I know Keeravani for a long time, he agreed to work for this film as Sai Korrapati asked him. He has also given some suggestions regarding the movie. I had given the dialogues script and explained the characters emotions to Keeravani. He made Anantha Sriram write the lyrics according to it. Keeravani's father Siva Shakthi Datta also wrote a song.

How was the journey with Sai Korrapati ?

I first met Sai Korrapti at the time of 'Eega'. He didn't compromise anywhere for our film regarding the budget. He provided some very good technicians and gave everything that we wanted.

Did Rajamouli watch the first copy ?

Rajamouli didn't watch the first copy, but has watched the rushes. He said that that it is very good.

No project is finalized yet after this film.
