Manju Warrier, V. K. Prakash.

There is a buzz that ace director V. K. Prakash, who is known for his experimental themes and technique, has expressed interest to cast Manju Warrier in his upcoming venture. As a prelude to this, the duo was seen together, attending a drama by renowned dramatist Soorya Krishnamoorthy. They were accompanied by actor-dancer Shobana. VKP was apparently impressed with the play and is thinking about an adaptation of the same with Manju Warrier in the lead.

The play was held at Chennai and was enacted by leading Tamil actress Mahalakshmi and Devan Nellimoodu. The premise of the play is an interview of a Bharat Ratna award winner Hindustani musician by a television channel reporter. This interview turns into a reality show and becomes a platform where the singer's past life is taken up for scrutiny. A previous Soorya Krishnamoorthy play to be adapted for the silver screen was 'Melvilasam' which won much accolades.
