She was happy go lucky girl eyeing the world in her designer sunglasses.

And then the glamour industry bug bit her. So she became a veejay. And then, it was a crossover Telugu-English movie. And now, a Malayalam movie with no less than Mammooty himself.

Well, there is no stopping Shriya Reddy. The girl that we came to know through Phonetastic on the SS Music channel and the girl who we admired so much in 19 Revolutions, is happy that her happy getting the momentum it needed.

She says her life is full of happenstance. "Even veejaying happened by chance. 19 Revolutions was by chance. Black is also by chance".

But there is nothing chancy about her efforts, as she gives her best at all the times.

In Black, opposite Mammootty, Shriya plays a Tamil girl. "She is a village girl who does not use make-up and wears very simple cotton saris".

A far cry from the Shriya we know of. "It was indeed a challenge for me to get into the skin of the character."

Shriya says she is keen to do more films. Malayalam or Telugu, it doesn't matter.

Any listeners? Well if you call, Shriya will feel 'Phonetastic'.
