After making a name for himself in Kannada film industry with couple of blockbuster movies under him, director-writer Atlanta Nagendra is making his Bollywood debut with Mumbhai Connection` - as reported earlier.

It`s interesting to note that Nagendra shares a common ground with another filmmaker who made great impression with his well acclaimed movies like Iqbal` and Hyderabad Blues`. Yes, we are talking about Nagesh Kukunoor who strongly believes in writing original scripts and making honest movies.

Like Kukunoor, Nagendra is an engineer turned writer/director and has worked at some top IT companies in Atlanta. And while Kukunoor is originally from Hyderabad, Nagendra is from Bangalore. Must be something about the water there because Atlanta has been producing some strong desi talent. With Mumbhai Connection` releasing on Aug 22nd, Atlanta hopes to make it big as his fellow competitor.

For the records, Mumbhai Connection` hits the theaters after an acclaimed film festival run and award winnings, has a very interesting storyline and a catchy item number.
