The pre-release audio of Telugu film "Shankardada M.B.B.S." with its rollicking numbers tops the charts for yet another fortnight.
1. "Shankardada M.B.B.S.": Young composer Devisri Prasad belts out hip-shaking tunes. The title number "Shankar Dada ko jai bolo" is already a rage. The audio has set a new sales record. Other foot-tapping numbers are bound to catch up in a big way after the release of the film.
2. "Sye": Keeravani's music is doing pretty well even in remote audio outlets. The Rajamouli-Keeravani combo succeeds yet another time. Films of relatively small stars need good music to sustain themselves, and Keeravani meets the need.
3. "Gudumba Sankar": It is weeks since Mani Sharma lost his place to other composers, but he has done good work on this album. He has produced good melodies and fast-track numbers. The film's poor showing, however, has dented the prospects of the album.
4. "Apthudu": Ramana Gogula, a favourite composer of Pavan Kalyan until "Johnny", has come up with a different album. Bereft of heavy Western beats, it relies on folk tunes. Director and actor Rajsekhar claims that Gogula took it up as a challenge to prove his versatility, and he has proved it.
5. "Swarnaabhishekam": Director K. Viswanath has worked with musical greats like K.V. Mahadevan and Illayaraja for his films. But this time he has roped in Vidyasagar. The album falls short of the standards of his previous films like "Shankaraabharanam" and "Saagara Sangamam". It, however, sounds different amidst routine, commercial tunes.
