If that was an unexpected twist, now the biggest guessing game in Kollywood is who will play the leading lady in the film.

One informed bird chirps that the surprise packet of the movie may well be that the hero (Rajni) may have no heroine opposite him. Only the second hero Prabhu will have a heroine to go around the trees.

Nobody in Kollywood knows about the Kannada original (Chandramukhi is a remake) and hence rumormongers are having a field day.

One school of thought says that it will be Simran (now surely on a comeback) who will walk away with the plum role.

Anyway, the guessing game will stop either today (October 1) or tomorrow as Rajni is expected to come up with a formal announcement.

Elsewhere, the buzz in the industry is about why Rajni dropped Jaggu Bhai. The popular view was that the superstar was advised by his astrologer not to do a film with K S Ravikumar now --- their stars are said to be not in conjunction.
