Try as much we may want, we just cannot keep Mahesh Babu away from the news. All through the last week, Mahesh was in the news for his ill-conceived raid on a DVD parlor and the subsequent court case and the bail for him.

But this week it is different.

His films Nijam and Okkadu and his sister's production Missamma have walked with many top honors as the much-coveted Nandhi awards were announced.

Mahesh's Okkadu, which was adjudged the best film, walked away with seven awards (including the best director for Gunasekhar) but Mahesh himself got the best actor award for Nijam and Bhumika got it for Missamma.

Among other winners was Prakash Raj --- two awards: best character actor and best villain.
