Allu Sirish and Regina Cassandra's "Kotha Janta" was released on May 1st. Regina is very happy with the response for the film and shared a few moments to chat about her experience with the movie team.
Here are the excerpts from the interview
I'm impressed
I played a selfish girl named Suvarna in 'Kotha Janta' and the response for the film and my character is very good. Maruthi has clearly explained how a selfish girl behaves when he narrated the story. I'm impressed with the way he narrated and I gave my best to do justice to the role.
Happy with it
Maruthi saw me when I was in Geetha Arts' film "Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham", and selected me for the Suvarna role in "Kotha Janta", after watching the rushes of the film. I'm very happy with acting in a big banner like Geetha Arts in back to back films.
He's a Telugu teacher
Sirish has acted very well, than he thinks of. It is really a great working with him. Maruthi has been very friendly at the sets. He is more like a Telugu teacher to me than a director. I've learnt so much Telugu from him.
Happy being compared with her
Actually, I'm being asked that I look line Ileana every where. I'm happy with that because I'm being compared with a very good actor, who has made her mark in Tollywood and Bollywood.
Should be selfish
I'm not as selfish as Suvarna in "Kotha Janta". I'm a bit selfish and everyone needs to be selfish. Else they will not become anything in their life.
Will do
I tried to dub myself for "Routine Love Story", but it didn't happen. I really want to dub myself for my films and I will definitely do it soon.
Allu Arjun was the first
Allu Arjun was the first person who complimented me after watching the first copy of "Kotha Janta". I felt very happy and proud then.
Ready if the scene demands
I am not so comfortable in short clothes and I will definitely question a director if I am asked for skin show if it is necessary. I am ready to expose if the scene really demands. The same applies to lip lock scenes. If a scene demands and if I think the romantic quotient gets elevated with the lip-lock, I am ready for those scenes. Because at the end of the day, we are actors and we have to be professional. We should not make excuses citing personal reasons.
Once in a while
I've no time for partying. But once in a while, I go to parties with my friends in Chennai.
Upcoming films
I'm currently acting in the films 'Power', "Ra Ra Krishnayya", 'Shankara' and "Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham". I want to act in Tamil, but I am very busy in Telugu right now.
