The skeletons from the closet have risen. Saif Ali Khan, who hit headlines for allegedly assaulting a businessman few years at restaurant, has been charged for the same.
Reports have it that, the B-towns Chote Nawab has been charged under Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The reports further added that the hearing in the case against the actor will begin from April 30.
It can be recalled that way back in February 2012, Saif along with his group of friends, including then fiancée Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora, were dining at Wasabi restaurant in Taj Mahal Hotel. An NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma who was also dining in the same place along with his father-in-law, had objected about the loud noise coming from Saifs side.
According to sources, when Sharma asked the actor to lower their noise level, Saif said to had rebuked him. Sharma then decided to change tables, for which Saif threatened him and even verbally abused the latter. After which an argument broke out and Saif alleged to have punched Sharma as well as his father-in-law when he tried to make peace.
Saif was arrested but then released on bail. He had stated that he was provoked by Sharma as he had made provocative remarks against the women in Saifs group, which made him to react.
