The much-talked and much delayed project of Dharma Production, ‘Shuddhi’ has part ways from its chosen lead hero, Hrithik Roshan. The actor reported to have opted himself off from the film. Reason allegedly believed that currently he is busy with his other commitments. To be directed by Karan Malhotra, ‘Shuddi’ was touted as ambitious venture with the actor paired up with Kareena Kapoor after 12 years.

Confirming this latest development Hrithik said in a statement, "Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post ‘Shuddhi’." The light-eyed star had been on and off over his professional life due to his health problems as well as coping up from his wife’s separation. Following which many of his work projects had gone for a toss. Now that the actor is back with refreshed energy, he seems to be sorting his priority list and looks like ‘Shuddi’ is out of that. "For now I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further," added Hrithik and said that he believes ‘Shuddhi’ will get much more success that expected.

He futher said, "I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan Malhotra in Agneepath and I'm sure both my dear Karans are going to go beyond with this one! Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit and am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best!" Hrithik is currently shooting for 'Bang Bang' along with Katrina Kaif.

Latest speculations are that the makers are considering the younger list of B-Town’s heartthrobs, Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh, for replacement. And apparently Deepika Padukone might bag the leading lady’s role, instead of Bebo.

Let’s wait and watch...
