Karthi is one of those Tamil heroes who made constant attempts to establish a market in Telugu for his films and one must admit he’s done a decent job of it, with his films 'Awara', 'Yuganikokkadu' etc making big sound at the Box Office and subsequent films getting reasonable openings.

His next, 'Biryani' is being produced by KE Gnana Sakthivel Raja on Studio Green banner and directed by Gambler fame Venkat Prabhu and buxom beauty Hansika is pairing opposite Karthi. The film is getting ready to release on the 20th december.

Gnan Sakthivel Raja disclosed the details of the film, said 'This is a super action comedy and Hansika and Mendy Thakar are the leading ladies opposite Karthi. The film is Yuvan Shankar Raja's 100th film as composer and he's given chart busting music for the film. The recently released audio has been a great success and bouyed by the same, we are planning to release the film on the 20th of December'
