Of late Preity Zinta had been in news for wrong reasons. The actress-producer had been accused of non-payment dues to Abbas Tyrewala for his writing work in her production ‘Ishkq In Paris’.

However, Preity had in turn slammed the case and instead accused that the writer had not done the work.

According to Preity in an interview, they had offered a cheque to Abbas and he was supposed to use it only if he did the required work for her film.

But he didn’t do so and Preity claims that hence they don’t owe him any money.

On the other hand, he went on to slap a case against her citing that the check she gave have bounced.

Her spokesperson sent out a statement, stating that Abbas’s claims are not correct. The statement is as follows:

"While there is several speculation surrounding Abbas Tyrewala's claims against our client Ms.Preity Zinta, Preity's silence has been wrongly misconstrued and hence her statement below, putting rumours to rest.

Though she is currently in Udaipur, shooting for ‘Bhaiyaji Superhit’, Preity will address this seriously once she's back with."

Preity also stated that there is no written agreement about Abbas Tyrewala working with their production. In spite of that he had taken a cheque from them.

They have stopped the payment as he has not done any work and they don’t owe him anything. "Now he claims a cheque for work that he did not do has bounced," retorted Preity in an interview.

An official statement from Preity Zinta read - "We will take appropriate action against him now that he has escalated the court and involved the media for publicity.

I'm not stupid to endanger myself by getting a cheque bounced."
