Director Chandru says 'Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham' is a fantasy comedy, which stresses that men are from Mars and throws light on the gender's love interests and problems they face. Starring Jai, Nivedha Thomas, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Rajkumar in pivotal roles, the film is produced by AGS Entertainment. Speaking on their shooting experience, director Chandru opened up on their rendezvous in Malaysia. "We had planned to shoot in Malaysia's Redang island. One would reach the island after a couple of hours of travel on the high seas, and it is so sparsely populated that there are only two resorts in the island.

The schedule lasted 25 days and every time we shot on the high seas, we always had a rescue boat following us closely for safety purposes. But one fateful day for Sathyan, the actor toppled over and fell into the sea, while the rescue team was under the impression that Sathyan would swim across to the boat. However, he did not show up for some time and we all got nervous, and the team jumped into action, retrieving Sathyan and giving him some medication. After his quick recovery, Sathyan resumed acting."
