Love, action and comedy are the forte of Sundar C's, whose last film 'Theeya Velai Seiyanum Kumaru' received welcome response from the audience as well as critics. Now the director, as promised at the release of the movie, has come to face the camera once again in his upcoming story, 'Aranmanai'. The film stars Sundar C and Lakshmi Rai in the lead and Vinay is cast as another lead; the film also has Hansika and Andrea to its star cast. 'Aranmanai' has the same high points as every movie of Sundar's - romance, humour and action, but is interestingly set on a backdrop of supernatural thriller. The film is directed by Sundar C himself, while it is cinematographed by Senthil Kumar. Saravanan of 'Paruthiveeran' fame, director Raj Kapoor and Vishwanath aka Vichu are cast as the villains in this film.

Speaking to the media, a source close to Hansika reveals that the shooting of 'Aranmanai' has commenced in Pollachi today. Meanwhile, it was heard that director Dharani had approached the young girl for a role in his upcoming film starring Vikram in the lead. When quizzed on this, the source added, "Hansika is busy wrapping up remake of 'Golmaal 3' in Telugu. It is true that she was approached for a role in director Dharani's film, but she is yet to read the story. She is currently handling nine projects in Kollywood and Tollywood, so she will be choosing her films slowly."
