Kamal Haasan turned producer long back. Close to two decades back, the actor launched his dream project, 'Marudhunayagam' in all grandeur, and it was launched by Queen Elizabeth II. However, the film failed to kick off for a very long time, until there seemed to shine a ray of hope in 1999.
However, all of it fell flat once again and the film seems to have almost been long forgotten. Kamal Haasan is now busy wrapping up 'Vishwaroopam 2' and has signed two other projects in Tamil - one for director Linguswamy and 'Moo' for Aascar Ravichandran, and has his project with Barrie Osborne, still running. Kamal is an intelligent investor, who believes in tuning back money into cinema to make it grow. And the multi talented actor seems to have landed the faith in his old favourite, 'Marudhunayagam'. So now we hear, from a source close to him, that he is to revive the project, with the profits of 'Vishwaroopam 2' and the other two projects.
