The youngest bomb from the Hassan Family is roaring success across the country. Now, Shruthi Hassan is on a role in Bollywood, with the actress turning a top favourite for every new cast. Most of this is believably associated with her back-to-back releases in Bollywood - 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' and 'D-Day'. Now the actress has been roped in for 'Welcome Back', a sequel of the 2007 Akshay Kumar movie 'Welcome'. Though both Akshay Kumar and Asin, who made the lead pair in 'Welcome' have been removed from the star cast of the sequel, the film will still be a multi starrer with John Abraham and Shruthi Hassan in the lead and Amitabh Bachchan, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and we hear that Shruthi casting in the film is confirmed, as she has already signed the dotted line. Apart from this, Shruthi is cast opposite Akshay Kumar in 'Gabbar', the Hindi remake of director AR Murugadoss' 2002 Kollywood's Vijaykanth starrer 'Ramana'.

Intriguingly, both the projects initially planned to cast Asin in the role that Shruthi is essaying now. While in 'Gabbar', the makers did not want to repeat the casting of Asin with Akshay, as they have already shared screen space, 'Welcome Back' team had changed their choice from Asin to Shruthi in the last minute, after being impressed with her performance in the back-to-back releases. However, Asin will be doing a special role in 'Gabbar', as she will replace the role of Simran in 'Ramana'. It has been very long since Asin was seen in front of the camera. Will the south Indian beauty come more often again?
