Wish him a zillion times, and zillion plus one more time wont harm, so yet again from Indiaglitz and on behalf of all our readers around the world, we wish Vijay a wonderful stylish birthday. The audio launch of Thalaivaa happened yesterday and the reviews pouring in are tremendous, the music is absolutely foot tapping and it just makes us craving for the visuals. So with the reviews coming in hot and optimistic, there could not have been a better birthday present for our Ilayathalapathy.
To start from where it was left over in Part 1;
Dig the singer in Vijay :
Boy, remember the early days of Thottabetta Rota Mela from Vijay? The song with some funky music from Deva had Vijays jingly voice, and it drew huge responses as he had sung and also danced. Through his career, calling him versatile is not because of his acting, the extra mile he travels in every other department is why he is still ruling the roost. Most of his songs have made it big and the reason is simple, Vijay enjoys whilst doing it and almost every single one of them has been peppy.
Ennoda Laila from Badri was such a breezy song and who wouldve imagined a lethargic tone could have added so much chic to the songs essence. His Ullathai Killathey with Priyanka chopra was also a sprightly track, not to forget one of his best till date Vaadi Vaadi from Sachein. The song is like a soda bursting out of a tin with so much energy unleashed. And now, need we mention Google Google? Boy he shadowed the lead singer Andrea with his startling voice! The song really brought back the singer in Vijay and starting with Thalaivaa, its like almost in all his forthcoming movies there might be a track with his performance.
Action & Style an integral part of Vijay:
His acting career had everything Vijay asked for, Romance, comedy and lots of action for sure. Even Vijays latest Thuppakki was a stylish Action packed movie, but he did start of his career with movies that had ample action elements. Some of his movies were rich with action sequences for instance Ghilli , Thirumalai , Pokkiri all were masala movies basically but then the climax, chasing, fights were something we could ask for more and more. Pokkiri and Thuppakki deserve a special mention as both had Vijay doing a varied performance with the latter laying him the red carpet for sporting a stylish avatar.
The Commercial crowd puller:
Ghilli was actually the first humdinger that shot the catapult of commercial entertaining from him. But silently Thirumalai was his commercial pot boiling movie, and post these for a few years he was stereotyped with this fame. Then he moved on to different levels, but never leaving behind his strength. Basking on the success of a viable crowd puller, the producers had great belief in him as the B and C class of people thronged the theatres as his movies were nothing short of pure entertainment, however a brief hiccup came in the form of Sura, Kuruvi, Aadhi and a few more. Film critics almost wrote him off as an actor who does not carve into the other genres of cinema, when he did Nanban , Kavalan , and again a commercial pot boiler Velayudham and he has back to square one of positivity.
Vijay the Philanthropist:
Vijay has done a lot of charity work that mostly go unnoticed, but his intentions are spot on, to help the poor and deprived. Started in 2009, with the ardent support of his fans Vijays Makkal Iyakkan is a social welfare organization that stretches out to the needy. In 2007 he received the honorary Doctorate by MGR university for his humanitarian work. He also worked along with Suriya, Madhavan and Jyothika for a child education video to reach and edify the viewers on the positives of education.
The list is just endless and Vijay can be whatever we expect of him, the romantic lover, the sinister plotter, power packed hero, and on and on. He also has been on the seat of controversies many a time, and every time he manages to wriggle out cleanly. He has also received so many awards with the latest being The Best entertainer for 2012 in Thuppakki.
Some tidbit facts about Vijay:
Vijays parents were keen to make their son a Doctor, however their son was least interested in becoming one.
He shares his college life with some prominent celebs like Surya, Vishnuvardan, Yuvan and Karthik Raja.
Vijay was the only boy during his KG time at Fathima School, and of all the money from his father he gets, he used to spend it on buying pencil, rubber and other stationaries for his fellow students.
When he was 9, his younger sister passed away and to date he does not shoot on her death anniversary.
Vijay has three marriage halls ( Kalyana Mandapam) One is named after his son Jason Sanjay, the other is named after his mother Shoba and the third one after his wife Sangeetha. The first marriages which took place in these halls were conducted free of cost.
Whenever he is off shooting, he loves to have Saravana Bhavan meals.
His favorite color is black and so evident why he dresses up Black in most of the events.
