Actor Dhanush who is busy shooting for his current projects Raanjhnaa and Mariyaan has taken time out of his schedule to do a kuthu song in Ethir Neechal. The project has Sivakarthikeyan and Priya Anand in the lead, and is being produced by his home production, Wunderbar films.

The actor is known to have sung several songs in Tamil and will be singing again for this song. However, it is the first time he will be appearing for a short duration in a film. The music for the film has been composed by Anirudh who worked along with Dhanush in 3. Anirudh himself has already promised that the tracks will be better than those in his previous album. Meanwhile, it is also being said that the young music director will also be doing a cameo in the song. The shooting is currently taking place in Nagercoil for the song.
