The remake rights for Pizza, which is running successfully in theatres even after Diwali have been sold for Rs.72 lakhs and Rs.35 lakhs respectively in Telugu and Kannada. The movie is directed by debutant Karthik Subburaj, who earlier made short films that appeared on the show Naalaya Iyakkunar.

Pizza is a thriller and its unique screenplay quickly captured the audience across Tamil Nadu. The producer of the news confirmed the news said, “Director Prashanth Raj had watched film and was keen on buying the rights for Kannada film industry. Since we found him capable of delivering a hit like ours, we sold it to him for 35 lakh." Prashanth, who plans to cast Kannada actors in the film, says, “The screenplay will be tweaked keeping the Kannada audience in mind.”

C.V.Kumar added "The Telugu rights have been bought by one of the top producers from Tollywood who paid 72 lakh for it.” choosing to stay silent about the people who bought the film. However, this is a huge figure for a film which was made with a low-budget and with little resources. The success of Pizza is sure to inspire several budding directors to come to the field.
