The release of Illayathalapathy Vijay's Thuppaki has been pushed back to the 13th of November, after earlier announcing that it will hit screens on the 9th of November. This has come as quite a surprise for the fans who were waiting for the film eagerly to release this Friday.

While the reason for this has been unknown, Thuppaki will now release along side other films on Diwali day, which falls next tuesday. It has been traditional for films to be released during Diwali, even if the date didn't fall close to a weekend. Directed by A.R.Murugadoss, the film went through controversies around its title before the promotions began.

Stay tuned for more updates on Thuppaki and it's release.
