Vairamuthu on Monday said that veterans of Tamil cinema should be remembered at the audio launch functions of new movies.

The ace lyricist said this at the music release event of 'Yamuna' a film directed by Ganesh Babu, who is an actor and a student of Balu Mahendra's cinema school.

"Many had contributed for the growth of Tamil film industry. Their efforts and achievements should be remembered during occasions like this," Vairamuthu said.

Sathya, a student from Balu Mahendra's school plays the lead role in 'Yamuna'. Sri Ramya, who played the female lead in national-award winning movie '1940lo Okka Gramam', is the heroine'.
