Over the past few months, Kumki has shaped up to be one of the most promising releases of the year. But now, reports suggest that the film might be pushed back due to delays in post-production.

Apparently, the special effects team behind Kumki are having a hard time moving forward and it might see the film postponed from it's initial Diwali release date. The film has become quite popular already, with D.Imman's music becoming a roaring hit, and the likes of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan appearing at the music launch event. How a date push might work for producers is yet to be seen.

The film is produced by Prabhu Solomon and is the debut of Sivaji Ganesan's grandson Vikram Prabhu. It also has another promising newcomer in Lakshmi Menon joining the lead.
