Maatraan rights sold for Rs.3.25 crores in Kerala

Maatraan's distribution rights in Kerala have reportedly been bought for a whooping Rs.3.25 crores. It has been bought by Thameen movies and is the highest distribution cost for Suriya in Malayalam.

The film, directed by K.V.Anand, will be releasing worldwide on October 12th in 1300+ screens. In it, Surya will be playing a dual role, including both the characters of Siamese twins, for the first time in Indian cinema. It has Kajal Agarwal playing the female lead and Harris Jeyaraj has composed some foot-tapping numbers for the soundtrack. The film is being distributed by AGS Entertainment in Tamil Nadu and is also being released in Telugu with the name 'Brothers'.
