After making waves in Kollywood a couple of years ago, 'Thamizh Padam' was recently remade in Telugu as 'Sudigadu', and went on to become a hit in Andhra Pradesh.

And now, the film is set to be remade in Hindi. Ace Telugu producer Suresh is planning to produce the Bollywood version, with Ritiesh Deshmukh playing the lead role.

The original version starring 'Mirchi' Siva in the lead was directed by C S Amudhan, who is now doing a movie titled 'Rendavadhu Padam'.

The plot of 'Thamizh Padam' parodies contemporary commercial films, mocking the stereotypical scenes. The film was distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, and it won critical acclaim and commercial success at the box office.
