With every leading Tamil actor experimenting and releasing their films in Telugu in Andhra Pradesh, Simbu's Podaa Podi too will release in Telugu in a massive scale in AP, simultaneously on the same day as the Tamil version's release.

Earlier, Simbu's Manmadhan, Vallavan and Silambattan have released in Telugu and faired well at the box-office but the actor is yet to build a bankable market in there, which might be bridged through this film.

The Telugu title of the film hasn’t been finalized yet and the makers - Gemini Films Circuit, is trying to retain something on the same lines as 'Podaa Podi' in Telugu as well. An official announcement about the Telugu version will be made once the title is finalized.

The romantic musical stars Simbu and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles and has music by Dharan. It's helmed by Vignesh Shiva. The film is garnering much popularity among audience, thanks to innovative posters and ads and a single song release launch that's set to take place tomorrow.
