Today is the birthday of Yuvan Shankar Raja, one of the happening music composers of Tamil cinema. This year is going to be special for him, as he will be touching the 100th film mark with 'Biriyani'.
Yuvan, younger son of maestro Ilayaraja, started his musical career with Sarath Kumar starrer 'Aravindan' in 1997. In his 15-year old journey, he has composed music for movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
He is credited with having introduced hip-hop in the Tamil film music industry and having successfully integrated the genre into the Tamil musical mainstream. He has explored various genres, and experimented with new sounds.
Yuvan's collaborations with filmmakers such as Selvaraghavan, Ameer, Vishnuvardhan, Venkat Prabhu and Lingusamy have always resulted in highly successful soundtracks.
On this special day of Yuvan, we at IndiaGlitz join his fans, friends and well-wishers in wishing him a happy birthday and a great year ahead.
