In Mollywood, he is not just known as a director, but as an actor too. And now, the actor-filmmaker's focus is on Kannada film industry, popularly known as Sandalwood.

Samuthirakani is working in Puneet Rajkumar's next, 'Yaare Koogadali'. "Working with Puneet and others is a nice experience. I am learning Kannada and this has been an interesting experience."
