'Paalai', a movie directed by Senthamilan, made waves in Tamil Nadu some time back for its bold content and honest approach. Now the film is making its presence felt internationally.

The period movie, which talks about the Tamil culture centuries ago, was screened in Norway International Film Festival. And now, it will be screened at the 10th International Tamil Film Festival in Canada.

In a statement, the director has thanked the media and writers for their support to the movie. "From the beginning itself, many on Facebook, Twitter and blogs have been supporting the film. I am indebted to them," he said.

As this was a movie about the ancient Tamil Nadu tribes, the director cast several native village people in this movie. To make the movie as close to reality as possible, the director has tried to bring out the acting talents among the tribal people who lead their lives in forests.
