Shriya Saran was last seen in Kollywood in a special number in Vikram starrer 'Rajapattai'. And the actress is repeating the act in Bollywood now. She will appear in an item number in Sanjay Dutt-starrer 'Zilla Ghaziabad'.

"It is a fun filled song and am happy to be part of it. Though I have done item numbers in the south, this is for the first time I am doing this in Bollywood," says the heroine of Rajini starrer 'Sivaji'.

Shriya is now eagerly waiting for the release of her 'Midnight's Children'. Directed by Deepa Mehta, it is a film adaptation of Salman Rushdie's 1981 novel of the same name. Besides Shriya, the film features Siddharth, Anupham Kher and Shabana Azmi among others.

In Kollywood, the actress is playing the title role in a film titled 'Chandra', a movie on a last generation princess. A Tamil-Kannada bilingual, it is being helmed by Roopa Iyer. Ganesh Venkatraman and Sandalwood actor Prem are the protagonists.
