Why is Venkat Prabhu working with Karthi before Suriya?

Before Venkat Prabhu decided to do 'Biriyani' with Karthi Sivakumar, buzz was that the 'Mankatha' director's next would be with Suriya and it would be a 3D venture using some latest technologies.

However, things took a sudden turn and the filmmaker is now on the verge of kick starting 'Biriyani'. Explaining the reason, he says, "Since Suriya is currently busy, I am starting this venture with Karthi."

"I will start my film with Suriya after he completes projects such as Maatraan and Singam 2. I am fine tuning the script and an official announcement will be made soon," he further says.

Giving details about 'Biriyani', Venkat Prabhu says, "It will be a mix of everything- action, humor and romance. To put it in other words, it will be a delicious biriyani with all necessary ingredients."
