Shriya Saran recently filed a complaint with the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) against a producer that he was planning to release the Tamil dubbed version of her Malayalam debut film 'Pokkiri Raja' without paying any royalty to her, which is against an earlier agreement.
The actress has now withdrawn her complaint, after she was convinced with producer, Pandiyans explanation. Following this, Pandiyan has expressed gratitude to Shriya and her parents for understanding his position.
"I am grateful to Shriya. I spoke to the actress and her parents and explained my side. They were very understanding," says Pandiyan, adding: "The Tamil version of Pokkiri Raja has now been submitted for Censor and it will be released in April."
Earlier, Shriya claimed that she needs to be paid for the movie to be dubbed in Tamil, as per the agreement she entered with the original producer. However, Pandiyan, who acquired the dubbing rights, said he was not entitled to do so, as he did not have any such agreement with Shriya.
