Suriya-starrer ‘Maatraan’ is one of the most eagerly awaited films this year. It is simultaneously releasing as ‘Duplicate’ in Telugu and the launch was held in Hyderabad. Clad in white and blue, the lead pair were the cynosure of all eyes.

KV Anand was all praises for his hero. “Planning for a scene with him is a pleasant experience. You can take him for granted for he is dedicated. As of Kajal, I have never seen a heroine who is very spontaneous, versatile and quick-witted”, he said.

Kajal termed it as an intelligent film and it is now said that the actress has tried her hands at some daredevil stunts in this film!

“My association with KV Anand sir dates back to 1997 when he took my first photograph, which was published in the papers. He is more like an elder brother to me. It is difficult to imagine a film like this in this canvas and budget. The level of planning that went into the film is great. We took 500 gunny bags from India to Russia! I would say that Anand sir is a mix of all best directors. ‘Maatraan’ has great entertainment for it is logical and sensible”, said a visibly excited Suriya.
