The question on everyone's lips in the tinsel town is that, whether Supersar Rajinikanth, who has offered his marriage hall free of cost to the supporters of Anna Hazare to hold a three-day fast, turn up at the venue to cheer the anti-corruption activists.
Says a source close to India Against Corruption (IAC), a movement headed by Hazare, "Rajini not just offered the hall, but he was at Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam on Monday night to see the arrangements made for the hunger strike."
The source however adds: "Rajinikanth said he is for anti-corruption, but is not in support of any version of anti-corruption law that is now being debated. He was here for around ten minutes to see what we are doing."
The fast by the IAC members commenced at 9 am Tuesday morning, coinciding with the hunger strike launched by Hazare in Mumbai. A large number of activists, cutting across age and other barriers, are actively taking part in the war against corruption.
