CIFF to screen 'Sengadal', 'Thenmerkku Paruvakatru'

The Chennai international Film Festival which is being held in the city will soon screen ‘Sengadal’ and ‘Thenmerkuparuva Katru.’ This move has come as a response to a request placed by the Tamil Nadu Directors’ Association regarding the same. ‘Senkadal’ directed by Leena Manimekalai will be showcased under the Indian Panorma.

Both the films will be showcased on Wednesday (December 21, 2011) from the South Indian Film Chamber Of Commerce Theatre. ‘Thenmerku Paruvakatru’ the Seenu Ramasamy directed film which bagged three National Awards will be screened at 3.30 p.m. following which ‘Senkadal’ will be screened at 6.30 p.m. Both the films will also carry English subtitles for the international audience’s understanding.

Apart from that, the Tamil Nadu Directors’ Association has also extended their complete support for a smooth conduct of the Chennai International Film Festival. The association has also urged all its members to participate in the screening and make the Chennai International Film Festival a grand success.
