Arun Vijay will be back in Tamil cinema after a short hiatus of over than a year, through 'Thadaiyara Thaakka' that is taking brisk shape. Shooting for the film has been completed by almost 85% and few scenes and a couple of songs are pending to be canned.

However, due to the heavy downpour of rains in Chennai the shooting of the climax scenes have been postponed and will take place shortly. It is said that the cast and crew are okay with these schedule changes and are cooperating well with the director.

Arun Vijay who has predominantly graced Tamil cinema with rural entertainers will be seen in a different avatar through this film that is catering to both urban and rural centers as it comes in a sleek package. The entire film is being shot in Chennai.

There's also an item number in this film which will be one of its USPs and the team is trying to rope in a popular actress for this song. Salim Baig, who played baddie in the Telugu version of 'Khaaka Khaaka' plays the villain in 'Thadaiyara Thaakka'. There are two more baddies as well.

The film stars Arun Vijay alongside Mamta Mohandas and Rakul Preet Singh.
