IG had earlier reported that Jiiva has signed a film with Ahmed, who hogged the limelight last year by directing 'Vamanan', a Jai-starrer. The movie may have Richa Gangopadhyay as the leading lady and the project is expected to hit the floors very soon.

"Ahmed has penned a script, which impressed Jiiva a lot. Hence the actor expressed his consent to be part of the movie. Following this, the director is busy doing preliminary works to start the project," say informed sources.

Richa, who has become a 'most wanted' actress in Kollywood, thanks to 'Osthi' opposite STR and 'Mayakkam Enna' with Dhanush, has been approached by Ahmed to share the screen space with Jiiva in this yet-to-be-titled film.

"Though Richa very much wants to accommodate herself in the movie, she finds it difficult to adjust dates, as she is also busy with her Hindi project (remake of 'Thiruttu Payale'). But she is making sincere efforts to work out her call-sheet," sources add.
