Suriya's '7aum Arivu' has opened up to positive reviews from film critics and movie goers.

'7aum Arivu' is a period-contemporary film that throws light on martial arts and Bodhidharman who is known as Da Mo in China. Suriya plays multiple roles in this film, that of a prince, Bodhidharman aka Da Mo and a circus artist. '7aum Arivu' also marks the debut of Shruti Haasan in Tamil as an actress.

When a film opens up to much expectations, like '7aum Arivu', there's added pressure and the script has to be a novel one to live up to these expectations, and has to cater to audiences from all centers.
