Even this week the box-office is lying without any big activity. But things are not going to be the same next week, as two big films, 'Velayudham' and '7aum Arivu', are ready to hit the screens come Wednesday, that is, for Deepavali. Besides there is the Tamil dubbing version of 'Ra.One', Shah Rukh Khan's magnum opus.

Velayudham

Produced by Aascar V Ravichandran and directed by 'Jayam' Raja, this Vijay starrer is much expected by everyone. The Ilayathalapathy plays a milkman in a remote village, who later emerges a messiah for the masses.

With Genelia D' Souza and Hansika Motwani playing the heroines, 'Velayudham' has music by Vijay Antony. "It will be an action adventure and a mass entertainer," says the director.

7aum Arivu

Produced by Udhaynidhi Stalin and directed by AR Murugadoss, this Suriya starrer is hitting nearly 1000 screens worldwide this Diwali. Known for doing versatile roles, Suriya is playing a Buddhist monk, a prince and a circus artiste in this film.

Shruti Haasan marks her debut as an actress in Tamil with '7aum Arivu', which has music by Harris Jayaraj. "Every Tamilian will be proud after watching the film," says Murugadoss.
