Tomorrow will be a big day for director Saravanan, whose debut venture as director will be put forth before the public for their appraisal and appreciation. 'Engaeyum Eppothum' will release in theatres across the state tomorrow (September 16). Saravanan has worked as associate to AR Murugadoss in many of the latter's films.
Velraj who has been popular for his cinematography in his previous films like 'Polladhavan,' 'Aadukalam' and 'Siruthai' has done the cinematography for this film. National Award winning editor Kishore TE has cut this film to perfection. Sathya who has worked on a lot of jingles is the music director of 'Engeyum Eppodhum.'
Now sources close to the film reveal that the content of the film is the king, and the script is the hero. The climax of the film will be the highlight because of the painstaking effort put in by the crew for that perfect shot. The climax alone was shot with five cameras in two weeks! Some insiders also reveal that the screenplay in the film is totally new to Indian films; it is touted to take Tamil cinema to a new level.
'Engaeyum Eppothum,' when it was presented to the censor board, a lot of appreciation was heaped on the crew members. For all those who were wondering if the film has a villain the answer is yes - and it is fate which plays havoc during climax. 'Engaeyum Eppothum,' will be released by Sathyam Cinemas in the city. AGS will be releasing the film in North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpattu districts.
Sources in the know also reveal that the Telugu remake rights for this film have been sold for a big fat price.
